Currently, I work as the Communications Coordinator for the Real Estate Foundation of BC (REFBC), a grantmaker that supports research and policy reform around sustainable land use. At REFBC, I’m a one-woman communications shop, responsible for our website, graphics, social media, PR and event planning. Before joining the Foundation and moving to British Columbia, I worked in a similar role at the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association (ONPHA), a non-profit that advocates on behalf of and provides training for social housing providers.
Over the last five years, I’ve been lucky to work in advancement and community engagement at the University of Guelph and to intern with the communications teams at SickKids Foundation and the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies.
Digital literacy is something I’m passionate about and I’m proud to volunteer in operations with the Vancouver chapter of Ladies Learning Code, an organization that teaches coding to women (and men), girls and kids. I’m a graduate of the Media Studies program at the University of Guelph-Humber.
In my spare time, I like to read, try out new vegan recipes, headbang at metal shows, go camping, and spend quality time with my partner and our two cats, Sophie and Pippin.
